9/19 – Per our site host, Digital PTO, we appear to be back to all good. Thanks everybody for your patience with this issue. Click away!
9/18 – Just in time for enrichment enrollment and the PTSA membership drive, our website host (Digital PTO) had a server meltdown (ahem, CLOUD!) and they are (real-time) transferring their data to a new server .
This meltdown and data transfer is causing major performance issues for our PTSA site that include super slow page loads, time-outs for information, and the inability to upload or edit pages. Further, the site will likely be offline the evening of 9/18 for planned downtime for this migration. Ack. We know – you just want to register for Mandarin…
Anyhoo, stick with us, as there’s nothing we can do, but be patient until we’re back up and running (soon!) and at that point we should have everything a bit more smoothed out. We hear your feedback and also appreciate your patience as an all-volunteer PTSA team, trying to register kids for enrichment, coordinate with our enrichment vendors, update the website (and also do our day jobs).
Thanks everybody!
Gemma Aronchick & the Lakeview PTSA team

2019-2020 Kindergarten registration is open now. Registration is important to ensure that Lakeview has adequate staffing. If students are not registered, then teachers are not hired. To start kindergarten in September 2019, a child must be five years old on or before August 31, 2019. Get all the details about registration requirements from LWSD.
The final spirit week of the school year will be June 10-14. Here are the themes for each day.
Every year the Lakeview PTSA presents a Golden Acorn award to a volunteer or volunteers in recognition of his/her dedication and service to children and youth at Lakeview. A contribution in the name of the recipient(s) is made by the Lakeview PTSA to the Washington State PTA Scholarship Program.
Lakeview is blessed with over 480 district-approved volunteers so there are many amazing nominees! For the past 11 years the Golden Acorn has gone to a single person. That streak was broken this year as two Golden Acorns were handed out at Volunteer Tea on Thursday, May 23 to Cate Emerick and Andrea Mosa. On behalf of all Lakeview students we thank these two volunteers and all Lakeview volunteers for their time, talents and caring!
Lakeview’s Staff and Teacher Appreciation Week 2019 was a great success thanks to contributions by many! We were able to provide something special for our Lakeview staff every day May 13-17 including breakfast, snack bar, two lunches, happy hour and a raffle. It could not have happened without the support of the whole community.
>> Thank you to all of the room parents for showering our classroom teachers throughout the week.
>> Thank you to Met Market Kirkland for donating food for several events.
>> And thank you to the following parents who donated food, adopted staff or helped out in one way or another: Blue Andrews, Rachel Beto, Sherrie Blackwelder, Elizabeth Brooks, Darby Callahan, Eliza Cha, Sylvia Chen, Ruth ChenPoon, Eva Chow, Jennifer Davis, Cate Emerick, Erica Gamble, Megan Gardner, Melita Govsheev, Robin Greene, Christine Heinrich, Rachel Hollinger, Irene Hong, Randi Johnson, Erin Kaufman, Wendy Kendall, Tori Kidney, Jeanie Kleinpeter, Cindy Kruse, Feyrouz Kurji, Andrea Landvogt, Sally Lee, Fangming Li, Ravenna Li, Alessandra Lucchini, Ann Marks, Micah Marshall, Jill Nagashima, Jill Nagashima, Yashodhra Painumkal, Andrea Patzer, Bridgette Payne, Nithya Ramkumar, Christina Sauer, Karla Schwarz, Susan Shapiro, Rachelle Steijn, Kelly Stevens, Deb Subotnik, Stephanie Waddle and Ghazala Yasmin.

Other non-elected board positions are also available for the 2019-2020 school year.

See board job descriptions on our website. All positions may be shared by two persons and are a great way to get involved in supporting the school and our kiddos.
